Our first selection of the day comes from Kelso in the 14:15 2m5f Hcap Chs where there has been strong market support all morning for Clondaw Knight who is now trading at 2.8815/8 from 3.412/5. A winning Irish pointer who seems to get better with each start over hurdles and improved to win here on his chase debut in November. He hasn't faded away since either, posting respectable efforts when third at Doncaster and Haydock more recently. With market rival Doubledisdoubledat carrying an extra 9lbs today, Clondaw Knight gets the nod in this one.
We move to Ludlow for our next selection. It comes in the 14:25 2m Hcap Chs where Spoil Me has been drifting this morning from 3.412/5 out to 4.216/5. This is a very difficult handicap chase to assess with such an open field with plenty in with a shout. He performed respectably on his chase debut here in December but has since been let down by his jumping. He wears blinkers today which could prove to be an aid or a hindrance. With what looks like very stiff opposition for him today, especially Elsafeer who is expected to appreciate the drop in trip today and is feared, it looks worth taking on Spoil me in this one.
We go to Wetherby for our final pick of the day. It comes in the 16:45 2m6f Hcap Chs where Yukon Delta has been well backed in this morning from 7.39 in to 4.67/2. There were plenty of signs that a small handicap was within reach when producing a fine run to finish third to River Purple and Trouble In Paris over 20f here recently. He lines up against these two again today but is well fancied to get closer to the pair of them with a capable claimer taking over today. The market support for him means he could well be worth chancing on here.
