It's a Lingfield special for the Follow The Money team today...
We begin with our lay of the day in the 15:00 1m4f Mdn Stks, where Button Down has been on the drift this morning, from 2.245/4 out to 3.814/5. She showed minor promise in a Polytrack maiden and has been a runner up in three turf outings this term, but she was actually a beaten favourite in two of those races and just never did enough to win. The three-year-old returns to the Polytrack today and it remains to be seen if she can be as effective on her return to this surface. With these doubts in mind, we are recommending a lay.
Our first back of the day comes in the 15:30 7f Hcap, where there has been strong market support for Passing By, backed in from 7.413/2 in to 5.14/1. She has a solid record here on the all-weather, winning in March over the 7f distance. The three-year-old has been disappointing in 1m2f Hcaps on turf since but should bounce back here as she returns to her favoured track and trip. We will back her to do just that and recommend a bet at 5.14/1.
Our second positive of the day comes in the 16:30 5f Hcap where Greek Spirit has been well backed this morning from 4.18 in to 2.789/5. An interesting prospect, she was much improved when winning on her handicap debut at Wolverhampton in October, which turned out to be her final ride for Jeremy Noseda. The four-year-old resumes today with her new trainer Alan McCabe and if she can continue in the same vein of form as previous, then she should take some beating here. With this said we recommend a back of 2.789/5 for Greek Spirit today.
