Today's Follow The Money movers come from the meetings at Catterick and Lingfield
"In a race where there's not much form to go on, Floating Ballerino's promise has been more evident in a couple of maiden runs than that of his opponents; and a significant move in from 3.45 to a current 2.68/5 tells a louder story."
The opening six furlong maiden at Catterick (14:00) would appear to be a two horse race according to the market. Song Of Rowland has been well supported to upset the odds-on favourite, and now stands at 3.7511/4 from an earlier 8.07/1. The track record won't be threatened by this group of average performers, but our selection has decent form for the grade, and could get us off to a winning start.
Our next horse for money is Floating Ballerino in the 14:40 at Lingfield. Trained by first-season sensation Olly Stevens, this one can add a few quid to the Royal Ascot jackpot scooped by the stable a month ago. In a race where there's not much form to go on, the selection's promise has been more evident in a couple of maiden runs than that of his opponents; and a significant move in from 3.45 to a current 2.68/5 tells a louder story.
Fossa is in a rich vein of form having won three of his last four starts but his rising handicap mark seems to have put backers off in the 17:10 at Lingfield today. Rated 50 for the first of those victories, it'll be more of a slog running off 68 on this occasion. The slide is not huge, 4.84/1 from 3.9 but it could be a straw worth clutching at on a day's racing featuring few drifters. The one race the selection did get beaten in recently was over course and distance so let's hope it proves to be an unhappy hunting ground once again.
