Today's Follow The Money comes from the meetings at Newbury and York...
We start off with our lay of the day in the 14.35 at Newbury, where Able Dash is now trading at 3.8514/5 from a morning 2.982/1. His two wins have come on the all-weather at Kempton and today's step back in trip to one-mile two furlongs is not ideal. With a lack of front runners, there may not be a steady pace that would suit the four-year-old and, with steady support throughout the day for the unpenalised Balmoral Castle, this looks a lot tougher and were happy to take on Michael Blake's runner today.
Out first positive of the day comes in the 15:50 at York, where G Force has been popular in the market all day, trading at 3.814/5 from the 7.613/2. The David O'Meara runner stayed on strongly to record a first success in maiden company over the same trip at Newcastle back in April and, with plenty of improvement to come and ground good to firm likely to suit, we can see him blowing his rivals away today.
Our second back comes in the 16.10 at Newbury, where the Michael Bell-trained Raven Ridge has seen steady support throughout the morning from an early price of 8.615/2 into 4.47/2. A comfortable four-length win last October at Newcastle was followed by a respectable fourth place finish in a decent handicap at Newmarket's Craven meeting last month. Off the same mark, the Jamie Spencer-ridden three-year-old still looks unexposed and the step up to one-mile three furlongs should suit.
