The first selection comes from Yarmouth and in the 15:00 where Solidarity has drifted from 2.77/4 out to 4.94/1. He was well backed on debut for trainer Charlie Appleby only to finish seventh, but showed why he was well supported on his next start when winning comfortably at Epsom. None of today's have form on soft ground and although he should have no problems seeing out this trip on breeding, the negative move in the market suggests he will struggle to follow up his recent win today.

Our next selection is from Thirsk and in the 15:40 where Fieldgunner Kirkup has been backed from 8.07/1 in to 5.14/1. David Barron's runner hasn't been at his best recently, but he does have two course and distance wins to his name from last season. The soft going this afternoon will also benefit him and with the yard in decent form he looks to have a good opportunity to repeat his success from 12 months ago.

The final pick for today runs in the 16:00 at Yarmouth where Battalion has been well supported from 5.14/1 in to 2.8815/8. The William Haggas-trained horse is another who favours soft ground, so today's going will suit and he seems to be running off a reasonable mark after his easy victory at Ripon on his last start. He looks capable of taking this step up in class and with more improvement expected he could be hard to beat today.
