Follow The Money: Back an Albonny lad to win at Doncaster today

Albonny runs in the 17:20 at Doncaster today

Today's Follow the Money comes from Doncaster and Musselburgh...

"Our last selection is in the 17:20 from Doncaster where Albonny has been backed from 9.28/1 in to 5.69/2. Albonny has won his last three starts for trainer Alan Jarvis over 2m and has only been raised 2lb for his last victory and looks to still be improving."

The negative for today comes in the opening race from Doncaster at 14:00 where Hi Filwah is weak in the market and has drifted out from 1.814/5 out to 2.26/5. Trainer Jeremy Noseda's 3-year-old finished second on his race course debut earlier this month at Newbury where he was beaten by a more experience runner. He should clearly improve for that run and looks to have a good chance today, but punters are backing his market rival who was narrowly denied on his first run back this season at Yarmouth and at short prices we are happy to take the favourite on today.

Our next selection comes from Musselburgh and in the 16:55 Dr Irv has been well supported from 2.56/4 in to 2.021/1. Philip Kirby's runner is stepping back up to 2m today and finished third over this trip at Ripon recently where he had his main market rival well beaten that day. In a handicap that doesn't look very competitive, a repeat of that run should be good enough to win this race.

Our last selection is in the 17:20 from Doncaster where Albonny has been backed from 9.28/1 in to 5.69/2. Albonny has won his last three starts for trainer Alan Jarvis over 2m and has only been raised 2lb for his last victory and looks to still be improving. If he handles the faster going he looks to have a decent chance of completing a four-timer.
