Recommended Bets

Back Story Writer @ 6.05/1 15:15 Goodwood

Back Alderbrook Lad @ 2.77/4 16:15 Wetherby

Lay Perfect Muse @ 3.45 17:35 Goodwood

Firstly we head to Goodwood and the 15:15 2m Handicap. Selection Story Writer has proved popular with punters this morning backed from 7.613/2 to the currently trading 6.05/1. He has had a frustrating career so far, featuring eight seconds and just the one win. However he was very impressive in defeat here last time out, ending up missing out by a head and we fancy him to come on for the run and land the spoils today.

Over to Wetherby for our second positive of the day in the 16:15 over 2m4f. Market principle Alderbrook Lad has seen steady support this morning back from a high of 2.8815/8 in to 2.707/4. With the withdrawal of key rival Lexicon Lad, the scene looks set for Alderbrook Lad to make a successful return to hurdling. If he has recovered fine from his fall last time out he should prove too strong in today's company.

Finally we head back to Goodwood for today's negative in the 17:35 6f Handicap. Perfect Muse has proven easy to back this morning drifting from 2.61 out to 3.45. So far always the bridesmaid never the bride, with four seconds from five starts in her career, we fancy that connections will again be disappointed considering today's strong field and her 3lb rise in the weights.
