For this afternoon's Follow The Money we head to the meetings at Ripon and Market Rasen...
Firstly to Ripon for today's negative in the 16:40 over 1m 2f. Selection Lord of the Nile has proved easy to back this morning drifting from 4.03/1 to the currently available 4.84/1. The David O'Meara trained runner is unproven over this longer trip, and in a highly competitive race with a couple of recent winners we fancy at least one of his rivals to be too strong for him.
Over to Market Rasen for our first positive in the 17:00 over 2m 1f. We can't see beyond market principal Altior who has seen steady support this morning backed from 2.47/5 into 1.758/11. He hails from Nicky Henderson's powerful yard, who boast a terrific strike rate of 4/12 in this manner of race at Market Rasen in the last five years. With his stable's statistics on his side and the weight of money down we feel a winning debut is on the cards.
Back to Ripon for our final selection in the 17:10 5f sprint, Adams Ale backed from 6.88 in to 5.69/2. The lightly-raced sprinter has shown progressive form and was impressive in defeat here last time out in a Class 3 sprint. In a weaker line up his chances are further boosted by market rival Come On Dave coming back into a handicap off a 5lb higher mark.
