The markets have been reviewed, and all three of today's Follow The Money selections come from the meeting at Wolverhampton...
The pre-Christmas card starts with a maiden over the minimum trip at 13:40 and we're siding with well supported Bahango, now 4.94/1 from 6.411/2. Market leader Kyrenia Castle did not finish off his race last time after leading for five furlongs but the drop in distance may present its own problems and we expect him to be eating the dust of the Follow The Money selection, who has the experience of running in Nurseries and the able assistance of Shane Gray.
With five last-time-out winners and others in the field running off dangerous marks, Mr Bossy Boots is proposed as the lay of the day at 3.211/5, having traded as low as 2.767/4. Himself a double winner, Mr Bossy Boots has been raised four pounds for this fiercely competitive race. Of more concern is a four month absence. With strong support for Shyron and Loyalty and some inspired money for Silverware, there may be some scope for a further ease in price before the off.
6.411/2 in to 3.185/40 for Boboli Gardens in the 16:10 is a move we can't ignore. We can't really understand it either: his last race commentary reads "Steadied start, held up in last pair, never a factor." Earlier reports are polite, at best, so we're just going to follow the market clues and see if he can show himself to be a different proposition today. It looks as if Ambella may be the main danger.
