With no English racing on Friday we're off to Dundalk in Ireland for the day's three Follow The Money selections...
We begin with our each way bet of the day, A Shin Impala, which runs in the opening 16:30 1m Rated race. Ridden by new Ballydoyle signature Wayne Lordan and trained by Grand National hero Tommy Stack who is passing the training reins over to his son Fozzy in the New Year this 3yo gelding has seen support from punters all afternoon from a high of 12.5 into 7.06/1. A Dundalk regular, punters expect this unexposed sort to make the frame today.
Our back bet is November Tale which runs in the 17:30 7f Maiden. Punters are relying on this filly to pay for the turkey this Christmas as she has been smashed from 2.56/4 into 2.111/10 in our win market. Trained by the doyen of Dundalk Ger Lyons this daughter will lack nothing in assistance from the saddle as young starlet Colin Keane takes the reins. A promising run after a long break here last time, connections will be expecting this 2yo to break her maiden today.
Our lay bet of the day is Thomas Omalley, which runs in the 18:00 7f Maiden. Market support has been thin on the ground for this uneasy favourite having drifted from 3.1511/5 out to 3.45. It has been a breakthrough season for this colt's pilot Donnacha O'Brien notching up his first grade 1 on the 2yo filly Intricately at Irish HQ in September. But according to punters he will need to be at his strongest to guide this 2yo home today.
