Today's Follow The Money from Doncaster and Cartmel
"Hubertas has placed on two of his last four starts and although he hasn't shown his best form in recent times today's trip and conditions should suit. At his current price he is certainly worth an each-way wager."
We start with our first back which runs in the 14:40 novice stakes at Doncaster where Our Boy is trading at 5.14/1 having seen plenty of support in from an early price of 7.26/1. This two-year-old is having his third run after a solid couple of runs at Newbury and Haydock. Those first two efforts were both over six furlongs and the feeling is today's longer trip will suit him. With this morning's strong market support we are recommending a back.
Next up we have our lay of the day in the 15:00 beginners' chase at Cartmel. Here we are going to oppose Desoto County who has drifted out to 1.9520/21 from 1.784/5. This Gordon Elliott-trained gelding made his chasing debut on course last month where he was a beaten favourite. Today he goes over a longer trip but we will be hoping for a similar result. Strong support for main rival Anteros also makes us think he is worth taking on today.
Lastly we return to Doncaster for our each-way back where we are recommending Hubertas in the 16:50 handicap. He has been well-backed all morning in a competitive field and is now trading at 6.411/2 from an initial price of 8.88/1. Hubertas has placed on two of his last four starts and although he hasn't shown his best form in recent times today's trip and conditions should suit. At his current price he is certainly worth an each-way wager.
Back Our Boy @ 5.14/1 in the 14:40 at Doncaster
Lay Desoto County @ 2.568/5 in the 15:00 at Cartmel
Back Hubertas each way @ 6.411/2 in the 16:50 at Doncaster
