It's jumping all the way this afternoon with today's three Follow The Money selections coming from the meetings at Clonmel, Wincanton, and Market Rasen...
We begin with our back bet which is No Comment in the 13:00 at Market Rasen who has been backed from 2.26/5 into 2.021/1. After being sent of 6/4 fav for the Grade 2 Persian War at Chepstow and unseating early on the Kayf Tara gelding showed his ability next time out finishing a solid second to the highly regarded Robin Roe at Aintree. With sound form and experience in the book he should have too much for market rivals Lieutenant Gruber and Accord and looks a good bet to break his Maiden today.
Our Lay bet is Alechi Inois in the 14:10 at Clonmel who has drifted from 2.8815/8 to 3.1511/5. The 8yo takes his chance in the Grade 2 Clonmel Oil Chase and faces stern opposition in the shape of Outlander and Monksland. A beaten favourite last time out having been sent to Italy there has to be question marks over his form and with a competitive field in place he looks up against it to claim the honours.
Finally our Each-Way bet is Alpine Secret in the 15:25 at Wincanton who has been heavily supported from 9.08/1 into 6.611/2. The Stowaway gelding makes his hurdle debut for the in-form Ben Pauling stable having finished mid division in a bumper last season on his sole start. With market leaders Black Valentine and Clondaw Shane only running in point-to-points his racecourse experience may stand him in good stead and he should be more than able to make the frame. With three places being offered in this relatively uncompetitive Novice Hurdle he looks a decent each-way bet to take on the head of the market with.
