We're off to Chester for today's Follow The Money selections for the second day of their May meeting, and it features a well-backed runner in the Vase, the afternoon's main race...
We start the day with our lay selection who runs in the second race at 14:25, a 1m2f Group3. Deauville has been on the drift from [2.86] out to [3.0]. Aidan O'Brien's four-year-old has Grade 1 winning form in the US, however he is taking on some pretty useful types and might not get things his own way around the bends of Chester so we recommend a place lay at [1.72]
On to our back selection which runs in the Chester Vase Stakes at 15:35. Tamleek has come in for support and is trading at [4.1] from as high as [8.0] and is now clear second favourite behind the recent Tipperary winner Venice Beach. The Godolphin runner was mighty impressive first time out this year when winning a maiden at the Craven meeting, a race that has produced four subsequent winners so can prove too good for the O'Brien-trained favourite.
Finally our each-way selection runs in the 16:05 - a 5f maiden. Dragons Tail has been supported from [6.85] into [5.2], Tom Dascombe's charge was very slowly away on his debut, however he did make late headway to stay on for third place, he should strip fitter today and he can give the red hot favourite Dahik most to do.
