The markets have been reviewed and today's Follow The Money comes from the meetings at Taunton And Chelmsford City...
Our first selection of the day comes from Taunton in the 13:10 3m Maiden Hurdle, where we have a fight on for favouritism, with our selection A Plein Temps just heading the market at 3.613/5 from 4.67/2. Trained by Harry Fry, this six-year-old gelding is yet to win under rules but was very encouraging last time at Exeter, staying prominent throughout the race before two late costly errors He is sure to improve and, with the talented Noel Fehily aboard and the heavy ground in his favour, a bold bid looks on the cards once again.
Over to Chelmsford now for our negative in the 13:25 2m Handicap where Coorg has drifted from 2.6213/8 out to 2.982/1. A winner here just a week ago over a slightly shorter trip, but her stamina is still yet to be proven over two miles. There is plenty of market support for recent winner Zakatal who came good last time, showing bags of improvement to land a handicap at Wolverhampton. There is also Crazy who is having only his second start for the David Dennis yard and rates a big threat to the selection.
Back to Taunton now for our each-way bet of the day in the 14:40 2m7f Handicap Chase, where Wychwoods Brook has been strongly backed from 11.010/1 into 7.613/2. Evan Williams' six-year-old seemed to find a new lease of life last time after finishing a cracking third at Ffos Las over fences. He had previously been pulled up three times in the last five starts but we are hoping that is all in the past now. Wychwoods Brook still seems to be on a fair mark today and is sure to be in the money again in what looks to be a very competitive race.
