Today's Follow The Money comes from this afternoons cards at Catterick and Lingfield.
Racemaker is our negative of the day, drifting out from [2.0] to an available [2.26] in the 14:30 at Catterick. The Mick Channon 2yo got off the mark last time out at Ripon but there are question marks around this colt's ability to handle this afternoon's trip and going. The market has sided for rival Areyoutheway, who looks the safer option having conquered this trip last time out in similar company at Redcar. Given the way the market has moved, we're happy to take this favourite on.
We head over to the 14:50 at Lingfield for our first back Tigserin, who has been supported in from [5.3] in to [3.6]. A winner on handicap debut back in April, this 3yo filly has put in some strong displays since that run and the pick of them came last time out at Kempton when she powered home to finish half a length second despite losing ground at the start. That eye-catching run has come at the cost of a 3lb penalty but punters are still keen she can go one better today.
Staying at Lingfield we head to the 15:50, where Roman De Brut has been shortened from [12.5] in to [8.2]. After an respectable third on debut for his new yard this one somewhat disappointed on his start last time out when finishing down the field at Wolverhampton after a poor run. Interestingly pulled out as a non-runner yesterday at Ffos Las, this gelding has proven form on the all-weather surfaces and would not be a surprise to see him return to his best, so an each way wager with three places on offer looks the bet.
Lay Racemaker @ [2.26] in the 14:30 at Catterick
Back Tigserin @ [3.6] in the 14:50 at Lingfield
Back Roman De Brut Each Way @ [8.2] in the 15:50 at Lingfield
