Today's Follow The Money comes from the meetings at Doncaster and Lingfield...
Today's lay is Princess Tara in the 14:35 3m Listed Hurdle at Doncaster, after a drift from 3.02/1 out to 4.1. She has won her last two starts but they have both come in heavy ground at Ffos Las and after her latest win her jockey said "the ground is key to her - the deeper, the better". It is perhaps unsurprising then to see her drift given that she faces good ground today. Among her opposition are the well backed Golan Road and A Doll In Milan (who is easily forgiven for heavy ground flop latest) and we think we can get Princess Tara beaten today.
Next to Lingfield where Holiday Magic has been well supported in the 14:55 1m Handicap, in to a price of 3.7511/4 having been matched as high as 6.05/1 this morning. He has won four from his last seven starts and is developing an attractive all-weather profile. The form of his penultimate run was boosted yesterday when Realize followed up at Lingfield and he was only beaten a length-and-a-quarter in a better race than this last time. He has looked a tricky ride on occasions but Adam Kirby takes over from a claimer today and a big run is on the cards.
Our final selection comes in the 16:05 5f Handicap at Lingfield where Boom The Groom has been steadily backed from 7.87/1 in to 5.95/1. He never got competitive from a wide draw last time at Wolverhampton but has box one today and should be able to get a nice handy position just in behind the trail-blazing Royal Bajan. He is only a pound higher than when winning over 6f here at Lingfield in January and if he returns to something like that form then he ought to get competitive today.
