Back Malaysian Boleh each-way at 6.611/2 in the 14:20 at Wolverhampton

Back Bravo Zolo at 2.6613/8 in the 16:00 at Wolverhampton

Lay Jonny Eager at 4.47/2 in the 16:20 at Ayr

Starting at Wolverhampton where there has been strong support for Malaysian Boleh in the 5f Handicap at 14:20, now trading at 6.611/2 from 10.09/1. It might be significant that Shaun Lycett's six-year-old drops back to the minimum trip after some indifferent recent runs over 1m, especially as he came second in this same race last year, running off 2lbs higher. Also worth noting is the re-application of blinkers after cheekpieces failed to have the desired effect. The selection was only beaten half a length in this 12 months ago and the likely early pace could give him a nice tow into the race so we're expecting him to go close.

Staying at Wolverhampton, where Bravo Zolo has been well backed, 2.6613/8 from 3.8514/5, for the 1m1f Handicap at 16:00. Jeremy Noseda's previous course winner looks a progressive type and can land this decent prize after narrowly missing out last time at Lingfield. The selection has twice run on well at the finish to claim minor honours over 1m so this slightly longer trip might help his cause while the yard can boast an impressive 29% strike rate at the track. It's a competitive-looking field of performers proven in this kind of grade but the selection is perhaps open to greater improvement than his rivals and therefore might be well-treated off his current mark of 97.

Finally across the border to Ayr for their 16:20 3m3f Handicap Chase in which Jonny Eager has drifted out to a price of 4.47/2 from 3.8514/5. Alistair Whillans' seven-year-old created a fine impression when bolting up on chase debut at Carlisle earlier this month and looks a nice recruit to fences. However that was a hard slog on heavy ground and may have a left a mark on the selection as he bids to defy a huge 17lb rise in the weights only a fortnight later. There has been good money for the unexposed Milan Flyer and Tutchec, who has slipped 12lbs below his last winning mark, so this is not a straightforward assignment and we're happy to oppose Jonny Eager.
