He is also two wins from three over course and distance with both victories at the track coming on ground that was soft, something he'll encounter today.

Our lay selection of the day comes from the 15:40 at Ayr. Falcons Fire has recorded just three wins from 17 starts, although two of these have been on his last two outings, he is now running off a career high mark over course and distance he has never won on. After opening in the market at 3.1511/5, support has not been strong and his price has fluctuated dramatically. Considering all these factors we're advising a lay of Falcons Fire at 3.613/5.

Maleficent Queen has been steadily supported from 8.415/2 into 5.39/2, and the Keith Dagliesh-trained filly is a model of consistency with five wins from seven starts. Her latest run was her toughest task yet when she finished a disappointing ninth at Royal Ascot, however we are willing to dismiss this run as it was hotly contested affair and she was near the top of the weights going into it. Having been extremely progressive before this and winning a listed race over C&D in impressive fashion before Ascot, as well as being dropped in the weights today, with two wins from two attempts over course and distance we expect her to return to winning ways.
