Today's Follow the Money comes from Bath and Kempton...
Our lay of the day is All Set To Go in the 14:15 at Kempton, who has drifted from 2.747/4 out to 3.412/5. The two horses for money in the race are Gladstone and Stars Over The Sea. All Set To Go has the best flat form in the race but softer conditions and hurdles can make life difficult for the Paul Nicholls-trained runner. Usually horses from this stable are well supported if fancied, but Gladstone and Stars Over The Sea can fight out the finish and at the prices All Set To Go looks the best lay option here.
Our first back of the day is Joe Packet in the 6f handicap at Bath at 16:10. Supported from 10.09/1 in to 8.415/2 so far, the Jonathan Portman-trained seven-year-old has not won for three years and has been slipping down the weights. But he's not been disgraced in recent efforts and today is fitted with blinkers in an open but average race. Danny Brock takes off a handy 3lbs and a revival could be imminent.
Our second back of the day is Kitegen in the 17:00 at Kempton, who has been supported this morning from an early 5.95/1 in to 4.57/2. The Robin Dicken-trained gelding has done most of his racing over a longer distance and was a decent third last time out over 2m 6f. Following a 92 day absence this course and distance winner runs well when fresh and the early support can only increase confidence of a big run. Charlie Poste takes the ride.
