Two backs and one lay from our friends at Follow The Money, including one worth backing and one worth opposing on the all-weather of Wolverhampton.
Today's Follow The Money comes from the meetings at Perth and Wolverhampton.
We start on the all-weather where there has been a substantial gamble on Annaley My Darling in the 5f Maiden Stakes at 13:50, and she now trades at 4.1 from an early 12.011/1. This unraced two-year-old is bread to be suited by the minimum trip, being out of a winning sprinter, and represents a Jo Hughes stable that has been making waves this season. Up against modest looking opposition and with the money down, the gamble suggests she's ready to do herself justice at the first time of asking.
We move north to Perth next where Sotovik has attracted some support in the 2m4f Handicap Chase at 15:30, currently available at 5.85/1, having been on offer as high as 9.28/1. This grey gelding had run three poor races before returning to form with a placed effort last time out over a shorter trip and on quicker ground than is ideal. However, he gets his conditions today and is well suited by the course, winning on his last two appearances here. Receiving weight all round, the money indicates he could return to winning ways.
We head back to the Midlands for today's negative where Aldedash has been on the drift from 2.6813/8 out to 3.39/4 in the 1m Handicap at 15:55. This James Fanshawe inmate was a winner recently at the course on his first run this season, appreciating a drop in the weights to record a clear success. However, he's been raised 6lbs for that win and drops in trip today against tougher opposition today and, with money for market rivals Angelic Upstart and Patriotic, the punters seem to think he'll find it tough to follow up.
