Timeform on Dinos Benefit

Timeform take you through the card at Exeter on Sunday...

14:10 - The Evan Williams-trained ON THE ROX (3) is a fairly-useful bumper winner who should find this level much more suitable having been well beaten on his handicap debut off a very stiff mark earlier in the week. He gets the vote over the well-backed Malangen and Ataguiseamix, the latter having tended to race too freely so far.

14:40 - The still fairly-treated ALMOST GOLD (7) got back on track when third in a deeper contest at Newbury earlier this month and can return to winning ways. The well-backed top-weight Stop The World should relish this stiffer test of stamina and is feared, whilst Ballybough Nora also appeals, however a second vote goes to HALLOWEEN HARRY (6). He has plenty to find on Timeform weight-adjusted ratings after three starts in maiden hurdles, but looks just the type that might improve now entering handicaps. He wasn't knocked about when sixth at Ludlow last month and he's closely related to the fairly useful hurdler Letemgo (who won from a BHA handicap mark of 116 at his best), so this opening BHA handicap mark of 109 may prove lenient for Halloween Harry with Richard Johnson aboard.

15:15 - CHOIX DES ARMES (9) probably needed last month's return and this lightly-raced 7-y-o should still have more to offer for his top yard. Ebony Gale appeals as the type to bounce back quickly, while ESPRIT DE SOMOZA (3) is also included. It's only on his last two runs that he has started to show his real mettle, which has coincided with a step up in trip and good ground, and he looks to have conditions in his favour once more today. He's only 5 lb higher than when beating a solid rival last time (pair well clear).

15:45 - SAINTEMILION (4) comfortably left a couple of hurdle efforts in his wake when runner-up on chase debut at Hereford earlier this month, putting it up to a progressive sort for most of the way. Open to improvement, he is fancied to make a bold bid. Diable de Sivola and Cracking Destiny are also very much of interest, but there doesn't look to be many pace angles, which should suit DINOS BENEFIT (2), a recent winner over hurdles at the track. She has more on her plate now tackling males again, but made a good start over fences back in November and should relish having her own way out in front here.

16:20 - Timeform top-rated FOR GOOD MEASURE (3) is handicapped to win over fences and had a nice prep run over the smaller obstacles, so it could be that it all clicks for him today. Representing an in-form Philip Hobbs yard, he's preferred to Dusky Lark, whose form last time is strong, and another well-treated one in Fortunate George.

16:55 - The unexposed eight-year-old ERICAS LAD (7) has improved since going chasing, scoring from 5 lb out of the weights here on Monday, and is effectively only 2 lb higher under a penalty. Recent Taunton runner-up Western Morning is another who has taken well to this sphere and is the obvious threat.

17:25 - SOUTHFIELD HARVEST is bred to come into his own tackling obstacles, but he couldn't be in better hands and it would come as no surprise were he to land this on debut. Story of Friends fetched £72,000 after his point win and is entitled to step up on his Warwick run.
