Betfair have enlisted the help of the experts at Timeform to bring you the best analysis and tips for the main races at the 2019 Derby and Oaks Festival at Epsom.
Friday's action at Epsom features two Group 1 contests, beginning with the Coronation Cup at 15:10. This year's renewal is more open than usual, though Aidan O'Brien will be hoping to improve his fine record in the race by winning it for the ninth time with last year's St Leger winner Kew Gardens. Standing in his way, however, are the St Leger runner-up Lah Ti Dar, the Dubai Sheema Classic winner Old Persian, and Salouen, who was second in this race 12 months ago.
Friday's feature is the Epsom Oaks, which is due off at 16:30. The second fillies Classic of the season is one of the more open renewals of recent times, with Pink Dogwood, a sister to the Irish Derby winner Latrobe, and Mehdaayih, an impressive winner of the Cheshire Oaks last time, heading the betting - though Mehdaayih's stablemate Anapurna may be the way to go for win purposes.
On Saturday, all eyes will be on the Epsom Derby, which like the Oaks, is due off at 16:30. Aidan O'Brien is responsible for seven of the 13-strong field as he looks to join Robert Robson, John Porter and Fred Darling in becoming the joint-winning most trainer in the race's history, with seven wins apiece. Sir Dragonet looks to be his strongest chance, though Broome, Anthony Van Dyck, Circus Maximus and Japan all have claims, while Telecaster, Bangkok and Madhmoon head up the opposition.
