Worcester looks to offer a good opportunity to land the Placepot.
"Theatre Flame has a lot of scope for improvement over this longer trip and with the Bridgwater yard in such fine form he looks one for the perm."
14:10 - Kilmordaly and Patricktom Boru are the selections. The first-named had Patricktom Boru behind him at Ffos Las but has yet to back that up, while the latter comes with a more solid profile. He finished well clear with the unexposed Foxes Bridge over C&D at the start of last month and represents the in-form Evan Williams yard.
14:40 - Adios Alonso struggled here on his first two starts over fences but has turned it round sufficiently in the meantime to lead us back to him for the Placepot. He won a handicap at Stratford and was hardly disgraced at Uttoxeter last time, conceding first run, too, so a bold bid is expected here.
15:15 - There seems little opposition to the favourite. John Ferguson continues to be in good form (41% strike-rate in the past fortnight) and Ennistown should follow up his facile C&D win last time out.
15:50 - Theatre Flame has a lot of scope for improvement over this longer trip and with the Bridgwater yard in such fine form he looks one for the perm. Not long with Bridgwater, Theatre Flame's Irish form looks strong and he's only likely to improve on it.
16:25 - Newton Geromino must learn to settle if he's to deliver on his obvious promise and in that regard Richard Johnson is a positive booking. He has more scope for improvement than most in this smallish field, so gets the nod.
16:55 - After Dreamisi ran a creditbale race in cheekpieces last time, connections have upped the dose and reached for blinkers. He's worth putting in as a backup option, alongside Mrs Burbidge who made a positive transition to handicaps last time and is totally unexposed.
