Wolverhampton Placepot: Thursday March 19
There's racing at Wolverhampton this afternoon, and that's where we head for Thursday's attempt at the Placepot...

14:10- Nouvelle Ere comes here on a roll, successful on three of his four most recent starts, and there could yet be a bit more to come. He should give a good account and, with three places on offer, we will bank on Tony Carroll's thriving four-year-old.
14:40- C&D winner Your Gifted isn't especially well treated, but her late-coming style has often seen her finish in the places, and she ought to be on the premises again. We'll also include Give Us A Belle in the permutation as he's a consistent type who is fully effective under today's conditions, so should give his running.
15:15- Kodiac Lady arrives here in good heart having finished a creditable runner-up over C&D recently, and she's expected to put up another bold showing. It's also worth adding Subversive for a bit of insurance as he hails from an in-form yard and looks potentially well-handicapped based on his maiden second at Haydock.
15:50- That Man of Mine will probably need to improve if he's to land the hat-trick, but he has to be respected as an in-form, lightly-raced type, and he's the first horse that we will include in the Placepot. We'll also include Galileano as he was doing his best work at the finish in behind That Man of Mine last time, and he remains capable of better having made just the one start in handicap company so far.
16:25- 3-time C&D winner Gabrial The Thug is clearly on a roll at present and merits respect, but Raging Bear caught the eye last time, finishing to good effect having been poorly placed, and, granted a better start (slowly into stride that day), he may well be able to reverse those placings now better off at the weights.
17:00- Matraash has strung together some creditable performances since the turn of the year, including a success over C&D earlier in the month, and he can be relied upon to go close, for all he's not favoured by these terms. He's the most solid proposition and a good type to have on side in the Placepot.
