Following yesterday's successful permutation at Kempton, we stick to the all-weather and head to Wolverhampton...
16:25- Blhadawa must have had some sort of issue to have been kept off the track for so long, but the form of her debut effort looks strong, and she should prove much too good if retaining all her ability. There's obviously some sort of question to answer regarding her well-being, however, so it makes sense to include an insurance option in the shape of Grosmont. Grosmont isn't the most reliable of types, but he has finished placed on a few occasions, and the application of a visor for the first time could trigger a spot of improvement.
17:00- Mandy Layla ran well when finishing third at Southwell last time and a repeat of that kind of performance ought to see her finish on the premises. This is quite a trappy race, though, so it may also be worth adding Elhaam as she is essentially less exposed than many of her opponents and comes here in good heart having finished a creditable third over C&D recently.
17:35- Street Artist has thrived since joining Dandy Nicholls, racking up three wins, including an excellent success at Southwell last time. He looks sure to give another good account and goes in as banker material.
18:10- Sir Mark Prescott has his string in fantastic order and it's difficult to look beyond his representative Naval Action as he seemed a different proposition in the blinkers last time, and possesses the potential to carry on improving for a good while yet. This longer trip isn't expected to pose any problems, and he should be tough to beat.
18:40- Off The Pulse is more consistent than many of these, and he wasn't disgraced on his return in a handicap over C&D last month. He has decent claims if building upon that effort and is the first horse that we will turn to. There are just two places on offer, though, so it is prudent to include an insurance choice, and Berlusca gets the nod. Berlusca hasn't been disgraced of late, and he has dropped down to a mark that gives him reasonable claims in this company.
19:10- Piccolo Express is on a long losing run at present, but he's been running well over C&D of late, finishing placed on his two most recent starts, and another bold bid should be on the cards. It's also worth keeping Zaria on side as she produced her best effort yet when finishing just behind Piccolo Express last time, and could be capable of improving further, bearing in mind her lightly-raced profile.
16:25- 1, 5
17:00- 3, 6
18:40- 2, 6
19:10- 2, 5
