Wolverhampton Placepot: Sunday, January 27

Henderson could enjoy a successful day at Wolverhampton

The Jumpers' Bumper card at Wolverhampton looks like tricky stuff, but with no other racing in the UK today Tony McFadden attempts to win the Placepot at the all-weather venue...

Once a useful performer on the Flat, Mush Mir ran well in a race of this type on his penultimate start and he has obvious claims...

13:35- Orchard Boy shaped better than the bare result on his debut at Bangor last time and it would be no surprise were he to show improvement with the benefit of that run under his belt. It is also worth including Carole's Destrier as he made a promising start when narrowly going down at Taunton last time and can make another bold bid, while Donald McCain's runners in this spehere are always entitled to respect and Alls It Is also makes the perm.

14:05- We are presented with our first banker of the afternoon as we side with Nicky Henderson's Mush Mir. Once a useful performer on the Flat, Mush Mir ran well in a race of this type on his penultimate start and he has obvious claims.

14:40-Rysbrack showed enough on debut to land a bumper and, having been in action on the Flat over the summer, has made an encouraging start to his hurdling career, running well in defeat on all three starts. He can put his speed to good use here and see us through to the fourth leg.

15:15- Karazhan, representing the powerful yard of Nicky Henderson, has only had the three starts to date, but already looks as if he can live up to his useful pedigree. He has won his two most recent starts, travelling powerfully to score over hurdles last time, and ought to be hard to beat.

15:50- Vibrato Valtat may fare better without any obstacles to negotiate, but, given his Flat form, Docs Legacy may be best equipped to deal with a test of speed and is our sole selection.

16:20- Having found her last race too much of a test, one-time Flat performer One Lucky Lady may be capable of better in a contest such as this. She is joined in the 'pot' by As I Am, who isn't as good as some of these over hurdles but is entitled to plenty of respect judged on her bumper exploits.

13:35- 1, 2, 6
14:05- 11
14:40- 9
15:15- 4
