13:40- Kyrenia Castle is unsurprisingly short in the market as he is lightly raced and sets the standard based on his second at Kempton on his penultimate start. He was disappointing on his most recent start, though, and could be worth opposing with Vivre La Reve who has been relatively consistent - bar a blip on Southwell's fibresand - and has shown her best form here on the tapeta. She's not a world beater but is likely to give her running and that should be good enough to see us progress in the Placepot.
14:10- Thataboy has essentially been operating at the top of his game for a while now and he put up a creditable effort to finish runner-up at Lingfield last time. He doesn't have much in hand from his current mark, so could be vulnerable for win purposes, but, as an in-form C&D winner, he is the ideal Placepot proposition and the first horse that we'll turn to. We'll also put Black Dave in the permutation as, though he's on a long losing run, he shaped with promise when finishing fourth over six furlongs last time, and is likely to give another good account.
14:40- Sir Billy Wright was beaten here at a short price last time but he was by no means disgraced and a repeat of the form should be good enough to see him gain a deserved win. This isn't a strong contest and Sir Billy Wright is impossible to oppose in the Placepot.
15:10- Loyalty hasn't won since November of last year, but he has now slipped below that winning mark, and his stable are in better form than they have been for some time, so he makes some appeal. He's no banker, though, so we will also add last-time-out winner Rich Again who didn't need to improve to win over C&D and has yet to run a bad race since fitted with cheekpieces. Another bold bid looks on the cards and he's a good type to have in the Placepot.
15:40- Catching Zeds can usually be relied upon to run her race around here and makes most appeal following the withdrawal of recent winner Tsarglas. Catching Zeds racked up a couple of wins here earlier in the year and she ran right up to her best when finishing third last month, making her effort from further back than the pair who beat here. She remains fairly treated and should go close.
16:10- Ambella should be suited by going back up in trip having finished a never-nearer second over seven furlongs, and looks to have been found a good opportunity. She is well handicapped relative to most of today's rivals and her rider, Shane Gray, takes off a valuable 5 lb, further boosting her chances.
