Windsor Placepot: Monday June 30

Racing comes from Windsor on Monday evening...

We head to Windsor's Monday evening card in an attempt to get the working week off to a profitable start...

"The other to keep on side is Lady Sparkler, who shaped well when third on reappearance at Lingfield and should continue to give a good account..."

18:00 - We start proceedings with a five-furlong fillies' maiden and the first to get the nod is Crawford Avenue. She chased home a well-regarded newcomer of Tom Dascombe's at Chester and can go close again here; the other to keep on side is Strategise, who shaped well on debut at Nottingham last time despite being hampered.

18:30 - It's a six-furlong seller under consideration next and although Hipz looks to have terms in her favour, a sole selection will suffice in the shape of Ocean Legend. He's won his last two starts and should have no problem remaining competitive in a drop to this sort of company.

19:00 - Mia Sin Triple is the first to make the cut in the six-furlong fillies' maiden which follows, and providing she can settle better than she has thus far she has a good chance to open her account. The other to keep on side is Lady Sparkler, who shaped well when third on reappearance at Lingfield and should continue to give a good account.

19:30 - It's another sole selection in the ten-furlong handicap which is up next and Tinshu looks to have a good chance providing the rain stays away. She's won over this C&D before and is back to a workable mark, and if the ground remains decent she may surprise a few.

20:00 - The fillies' handicap over an extended 11 furlongs which follows looks an open contest and the first to make the cut is Special Miss. She was left poorly placed on her recent handicap/turf debut and should be suited by the step up in trip. Tracks of My Tears is the other to keep on side given she was third over C&D in May and has run well off the back of a break before.

20:30 - The final leg of this evening's perm is a maiden over a mile for three-year-olds and given that Elusive Guest took a step back in the right direction when third at Nottingham earlier this month, he is the first to get the nod. The other to carry our hopes is well-bred newcomer Baha, who is trained by the in-form John Gosden and has attracted some early market support and is taken to justify it.

Selections:

18:00 - 1,8
18:30 - 1
19:00 - 4,7
19:30 - 6
20:00 - 7,11
