"She travelled into the race in taking fashion that day, and with a progressive profile, she makes plenty of appeal from a handy draw and with Harry Bentley taking over in the saddle."

17:50 - BOOSHBASH (3) is bred to be suited by this trip (plenty of stamina on the dam's side) and looks a very interesting runner with James Doyle taking over from a 7 lb claimer on his second start in handicaps after being poorly placed here last time. BORN TO PLEASE (1) ran her best race when attempting to make-all at Sandown on her penultimate start, and she could be seen to good effect if sent forward once again here with no obvious competition for the lead on paper.

18:20 - ENCORE MOI (8) could be leniently treated here after just a 2 lb rise in the weights for her close second on handicap debut at Wolverhampton last time. She travelled into the race in taking fashion that day, and with a progressive profile, she makes plenty of appeal from a handy draw and with Harry Bentley taking over in the saddle.

18:50 - Simply Me has been well backed in the early markets as she drops in trip for her all-weather debut and better is clearly expected of her. She didn't seem to be progressing when we last saw her, however, and the preferred option for Placepot purposes is GERMAN WHIP (3) who shaped as though he was still learning when running his best race to date at Brighton last time. He also didn't seem to be completely at home on the track, and this more straight-forward scenario should see him to better effect. ONESIE (1) looks the type to do better in handicaps and is also worth including with Adam Kirby taking over in the saddle.

19:20 - SNOW SQUAW (11) is still a maiden after three starts and was turned over at short odds here last time, but did pull six lengths clear of the field with a promising opponent and took another step step forward on form terms (improved 11 lb on her third at Ascot on her previous start). She sets the standard on that run and is worth banking on to make the places at the very least here.

19:50 - Though it is slightly concerning that EYESHINE (6) has not been seen for a couple of months after shaping best behind Dubka (now Timeform rated 99p) in a maiden at Chepstow in June, she clearly has plenty of ability and should be capable of better given her excellent pedigree and her profile to date. TUOLUMNE MEADOWS (8) looks a safe option to get in the places once again after two seconds over this C&D on her last two starts.

20:20 - ATHLON (8) made it two from two in handicaps at Windsor in cosy fashion last month and given his progressive profile could well still be ahead of the handicapper here despite being raised 8 lb in the weights. He is worth including along with fellow three-year-old REHEARSE (11) who gives the impression he may be capable of better under the right circumstances, particularly if this is run at a decent gallop (tends to pull hard).

20:50 - One Big Surprise looks to have been found a good opportunity to return to winning ways here, just 1 lb higher in the weights than when looking at unlucky loser at Lingfield last time (caught behind a wall of horses and got out late in the day), and she should oblige at the top of the market.
