Scoop6 Permutation: Saturday October 24
The Scoop6 offers punters the chance to win life-changing sums of money from a small stake (starting at just £2) and Timeform put forward a suggested permutation on Saturday.
Audacious Plan shaped really well at Chepstow two weeks ago, travelling strongly and looking a danger before the lack of a run caught him out
Newbury 13:50 - Zonderland wasn't beaten far at this level at Newmarket on only his second outing and he looks the one to beat with further improvement forthcoming. Zonderland was pitched into the deep end at Newmarket having won an all-weather minor event at Kempton, but he acquitted himself well, deserving extra credit as he was short of room on a couple of occasions, and that form sets the standard.
Cheltenham 14:10 - Going Concern has won three of his seven starts over fences, the latest coming at Chepstow in February. He was disappointing at Newton Abbot on his only subsequent start, but he does have a good record after a break and is an interesting contender. This is very competitive, though, so we will also include Turn Over Sivola. Turn Over Sivola has been a bit frustrating over fences, not boasting the best of strike rates, but he should have the race run to suit and isn't badly treated.
Doncaster 14:35 - Lucky Beggar has been given a chance by the handicapper and he has been in better form than recent results suggest, paying the price for helping to set a good clip in the Portland last month. He's been dropped another 3 lb since, though, and is one to be interested in from what is clearly a good mark based on his best efforts. Dungannon hasn't been in the best of form this year, but his mark has dropped as a consequence, he has won this race for the last two years, loves soft ground and has the advantage of Tom Marquand in the saddle, so his claims are obvious.
Newbury 15:00 - What About Carlo has seemingly bounced back to his very best of late, following up a three-runner success at Epsom with victory in a competitive event over this C&D last month. He wasn't seen to best effect at Salisbury last time, undone by a steady gallop, but he holds obvious claims back at the scene of his latest win and has underfoot conditions to suit. This is a competitive race, however, so we will also include Examiner in the permutation as he ran well to finish third in the Cambridgeshire last time (form working out well) and arrives here fresher than most.
Doncaster 15:10 - Mistiroc caught the eye on several occasions prior to winning in refitted cheekpieces at Ayr last month, and he was far from disgraced in the Cambridgeshire last time, forcing the pace in the stand-side group but having to play catch up with those racing on the far side. He should prove as good over a mile and a half and is clearly on a fair mark, so holds fair claims of quickly regaining the winning thread.
Cheltenham 15:20 - Audacious Plan shaped really well at Chepstow two weeks ago, travelling strongly and looking a danger before the lack of a run caught him out. Audacious Plan enjoyed a successful season last term, winning a handicap hurdle and a handicap chase at Ffos Las, and he produced his best effort on his final start of the campaign, chasing home a well-handicapped winner in a competitive race at the Punchestown Festival. He may yet do better over fences and can make his presence felt here.
