We head to Salisbury on Sunday in attempt to scoop the Placepot...
"New Story is another who looks to have a good chance, given he failed to get home over ten-furlongs last time and will be much more at home over this shorter distance..."
14:10 - The first leg of today's perm is a seven-furlong maiden and one to keep on side looks to be Marcano, who showed plenty when third of 16 in a very useful maiden at Newbury last month and could easily improve on that now back in calmer waters. The other to make the cut is Classic Villager, who would have gone close at Sandown but for meeting trouble and can make his mark if granted a clearer passage this time.
14:40 - It's a five-furlong contest for older sprinters under consideration next and Cruise Tothelimit is the first to keep on side given he's been coming to the boil of late, going close off similar marks to this and finding himself a touch unlucky at Chester last time; he looks handicapped to win and should go close. The other to get the nod is Secret Millionaire, who has followed up a pair of wins on the all-weather with some fine placed efforts on turf and can make a bold start for his new yard here.
15:10 - Plenty of the runners in the maiden over an extended nine furlongs which follows are open to improvement, and Arabian Beauty looks to have a good chance. He improved on his debut when second at Doncaster in the autumn and there's undoubtedly more to come this year. New Story is another who looks to have a good chance, given he failed to get home over ten-furlongs at Sandown last time and will be much more at home over this shorter distance.
15:40 - A sole selection will suffice in this six-furlong conditions stakes for two-year-olds which follows in the shape of Percy Alleine, who won here over a furlong shorter on his racecourse debut and may be seen to even better effect now upped in trip.
16:15 -It's another sole selection in the staying handicap over 14 furlongs up next and given Icebreaker was runner-up over two furlongs shorter here last time and that he could be suited by a number of his rivals' tendency to front-run, he looks likely to make the frame at the very least.
16:45 - The final leg of today's perm is a handicap over a mile and Silent Bullet looks hard to ignore. He posted a useful effort when second at Sandown recently and looks likely to improve further now stepped up to this trip. The other to keep on side is Magic City whose shaped better than the bare result on recent outings and is 4 lb below his last winning mark for connections who often do well here.
