Timeform's Joe Szekeres heads to Redcar after missing out on yesterday's placepot at Ripon by one leg...
Come Here Yew has demonstrated consistency for Declan Carroll in a handful of starts so far...
14:10 - A juvenile maiden isn't an ideal starting point in a placepot but that's the challenge facing punters in leg one. Hidden Coin sets a modest standard but should improve upon the form he demonstrated when fourth at Thirsk on debut. He was slow away on that occasion but stuck on well to the task late on and struck as an obvious improver. The most experience horse in the line-up, Brazilian Clown, gets the nod as the back-up selection.
14:40 - Another tricky maiden follows but Liliargh looks a solid selection after a promising debut at Catterick last month. The form from that contest has worked out well with two subsequent winners emerging and Liliargh looks the type to go close. We're going to bank on Ben Haslam's juvenile in a risky attempt to keep lines to a minimum.
15:10 - Daddy Warbucks looks a sound inclusion after three decent runs on his latest three outings and he is the main selection in the third race. Brailsford can't be trusted having bombed out last time so we also rely on Brockwell who it's anticipated will find big improvement on his handicap debut.
15:40 - Another Wise Kid has a profile that makes him an obvious choice for the placepot, having produced a form figure close to his best on five of his last six starts. His consistency should hold him in good stead in a race where Master Rooney could also prove a value selection if bouncing back from his disappointing seasonal reappearance last month.
16:10 - As the best of the runners in the two-year-old claimer, Stripped Bear she should be more than capable of winning, let alone placing, if producing form anywhere close to her best. That isn't assured, however, so we're also going to go with Spray Tan who is thrown into claiming company on just her second start after a promising debut run at Bath a fortnight ago.
16:40 - There's one more maiden to complete the 'pot and Come Here Yew sets the standard after the defection of Salacia. Come Here Yew has demonstrated consistency for Declan Carroll in a handful of starts so far and a reproduction of those displays should be enough to see him place with the three positions paying in the final leg. Daniel Tudhope is booked for the mount and the pair represent our second and final banker of the afternoon.
