The sole surviving meeting on Tuesday gets the Timeform team's Placepot attention...
"Pete The Feat has done nothing but improve since joining Charlie Longsdon and it is difficult not to envisage him completing a four-timer this afternoon..."
12:30 - Hard to see anything bar the re-opposing Hidden Identity and Shesha Bear winning the opening Mares' race on the card and, despite a double penalty, the former is fancied to confirm superiority.
13:00 - A trickier race to solve in leg two but Topaze Collonges at least arrives in form and has fewer question marks against him than the rest of his rivals. Joining him as a cover shot is Owner Occupier, who despite some jumping issues has a number of placed efforts to his name and is entitled to strip fitter for his recent return.
13:30 - Another banker in leg three in the form of Hollow Penny, who was a fair bumper performer last season and knew his job when making a successful transition to hurdles after six months off at Bangor late last month, scoring cosily by seven lengths. There should be more to come and it would be a major surprise were he not to place in a race lacking strength-in-depth.
14:00 - A match in leg four between recent Cheltenham Grade 2 runner-up Sire de Grugy and Cantlow, for whom testing conditions will undoubtedly bring his stamina into play over the minimum trip. Both are open to improvement over fences and look worth keeping on side.
14:30 - Easily the most competitive race on the card and as such it may be worth taking aim at some of those at the head of affairs with a couple of bigger-priced selections. Two who fit the bill are the returningVolcan Surprise, for whom the testing conditions will provide a favourable test of stamina, and Ray Diamond, who acts on heavy ground and could be hard to peg back in a refitted visor if allowed to dictate now reverting back to hurdles.
15:00 - Pete The Feat has done nothing but improve since joining Charlie Longsdon and it is difficult not to envisage him completing a four-timer this afternoon, the scope for improvement in him remaining just as strong despite shouldering a penalty for last week's hat-trick success. Banker.
