With non-runners decimating Newcastle's card, and to a lesser extent Wetherby's, we turn to the all-weather meeting at Lingfield for today's attempt at the Placepot...
Dangerous Age has built up a very solid record on polytrack and she appeals as banker material in the final leg of the Placepot...
14:00- A Little Bit Dusty has been going through a good spell recently, winning three times since the turn of the year, and he put up a respectable effort at Southwell last time against a pair of improvers. The return to Polytrack won't be a problem and he should give a good account. With two places still on offer, and many of his rivals not possessing the most trustworthy of profiles, we will bank on A Little Bit Dusty.
14:30- Wishformore has made an encouraging start since moving to the Ian Williams yard, yet to finish out of the places and winning on two occasions. He appeals as a solid proposition and is the first horse that we will include. Warbond has a poor strike rate but shaped as though he was at the top of his game when second here last month. He wasn't in the same form at Kempton last time but still holds place claims and Adam Kirby is a positive jockey booking.
15:00- The Best Doctor has been extremely well backed this morning and is an interesting recruit to handicaps, but, mindful of how much of the pool he is likely to take up, there could be some mileage in opposing him with Gaelic Silver and Club House. Both horses arrive in good form and, while they aren't open to the same level of improvement as The Best Doctor, they are likely to give their running and are solid propositions.
15:30- Martinette and Elpida are both interesting newcomers in a race where the horses with experience don't set an exacting standard, so they are the two that we will turn to in the Placepot. Martinette comes from a yard well capable of readying one first time, while Elpida was an expensive purchase and makes a lot of appeal on paper, so hopefully they can see us through leg four.
16:05- Multitask has been a revelation on polytrack since fitted with a hood, and a 5 lb rise for his latest C&D win should not prevent further success. He clocked an impressive closing sectional on that occasion, strongly suggesting that there may be more still to come, and he looks like a banker to make the first three.
16:40 - Dangerous Age has built up a very solid record on polytrack and she appeals as banker material in the final leg of the Placepot. It was slightly disappointing that Dangerous Age couldn't justify odds-on favoritism at Wolverhampton last time but she still produced a creditable effort - just about her best on Timeform ratings - and should continue to give a good account of herself.

15:00- 2, 7
15:30- 4, 5
