We head to Leicester for a card full of promising youngsters in the hope of scooping the Placepot on Tuesday...
"Glorious Dubai is regally bred being a brother to top-class performer Manduro and on that evidence alone should be included in the perm..."
14:20 - We kick off proceedings with a seven-furlong maiden and the first to keep on side is Outlaw County. He fared by far the best of the newcomers when third in minor event at Newmarket in May and should have no trouble in being involved here. Alnashama makes the most appeal on paper given his connections and the lofty future engagements he holds, and he's expected to transfer that potential to the track.
14:50 - It's the same again for the second leg of today's perm with some interesting juveniles lining up. Dancetrack shaped very well from a poor position when fifth at Newmarket last month and with significant improvement on the cards should be kept well on side. Glorious Dubai is regally bred being a brother to top-class performer Manduro and on that evidence alone should be included in the perm.
15:20 - The seller which follows over the same trip is a comparatively duller affair and given that Secret Lightning showed some promise early on in her career and this represents a significant drop in class for her, she gets the first vote. Ciaras Cookie is taken to bounce back from her disappointing display at Lingfield last time and put her best foot forward in following up her Yarmouth success as the other pick.
15:50 - A sole selection will suffice in the 12-furlong handicap up next and High Church is the one to carry our hopes. He's looked good in handicaps so far and shaped much better than the bare result when trying this trip for the first time at Salisbury on his most recent outing. He should make the frame at the very least and it would be no surprise to see him resume winning ways.
16:20 - It's the most valuable contest on the card under consideration now and it may not surprise you to hear it looks very competitive. Secretinthepark was successful on the only previous occasion that Richard Hughes partnered him and is the first to make the cut after a promising run at Doncaster last time. The hat-trick seeking Take A Note is clearly in fine form of late and can't be ignored for that reason.
16:50 - Providing the perm is still alive at this stage we will relay on the services of a single runner once again: Housemaker. She was a promising second at Newmarket on debut and rates as highly likely to progress from that. She looks sure to put that experience to good use and it will take a good one to beat her, especially with so many debutantes in the field.
