Wednesday's attempt at the Placepot comes from Kempton

There's a good card at Kempton this evening and that's where we head for Wednesday's attempt at the Placepot...

Exchequer showed enough on his seasonal reappearance at Ascot to suggest he's capable of winning a race of this nature and he can take advantage of a 2 lb drop in the weights...

18:40- Windy Citi shaped as if in need of her Doncaster return last month and, reunited with George Baker back at the scene of her two previous victories, she looks to hold excellent claims. The form of her yard is a slight concern, though, so we'll also add Fantasy Gladiator as whilst he's on a long losing run at present, he's been cut some slack by the handicapper and arrives on the back of a creditable effort.

19:40- Tuco has made an encouraging start to his career, finishing third here in a strong maiden and then showing improved form when going down narrowly at Lingfield, and he could have more to offer. Sectional times show that Tuco should be given extra credit for going so close at Lingfield, and we'll bank on Jamie Osborne's promising three-year-old going close.

20:10- Exchequer showed enough on his seasonal reappearance at Ascot to suggest he's capable of winning a race of this nature and he can take advantage of a 2 lb drop in the weights. Exchequer tackled better handicaps than this last season, the drop back to seven furlongs should suit, and his best performance to date came on the all-weather, so he looks to have plenty in his favour.

20:40- Aabir shaped a lot better than the bare result at Doncaster having met trouble in a steadily-run affair, and he still looks fairly treated and open to plenty of improvement. This is a competitive affair, featuring a number of unexposed types, so we'll also include Parole as he showed improved form to win on his handicap bow and may not have reached the limit of his potential.

21:10- Dual C&D winner Marmalady was simply too fresh to do herself justice on return but, with that run under her belt, better is expected and she can build on the good work of last season. We'll also include Desert Command as, while he may be looking a bit exposed, he's in good form at present, arriving on the back of a creditable fourth at Chelmsford, and should give his running again.

21:40- Frederic Chopin ran as well as ever on his first start for Mick Appleby when finishing third at Goodwood earlier this month and he looks well treated, able to race off the same mark. Appleby has a fantastic record at improving recruits from other yards, and may be able to draw further improvement from Frederic Chopin.
