Kempton stage an all-weather meeting this evening, and that's where we head for Wednesday's attempt at the Placepot...
17:15- Third Strike improved on recent efforts to win over C&D last week, and he looks to have an excellent chance of following up, racing under a penalty. Third Strike appeared to win with a bit in hand, impressing with how well he travelled and made headway, and there could be slightly more to come.
17:45- C&D winner Powerful Wind shaped with some promise at Wolverhampton recently, showing plenty of early speed before faltering late on, and he should strip fitter for that run. He could take a fair bit of pegging back. With just two places on offer, however, we will also include Dreams of Glory as he had been in good heart prior to a disappointing effort last time and is worth another chance.
18:15- Mr Red Clubs represents a stable in flying form at the moment, and he comes here on the back of a respectable effort at this venue last time. He's probably no better than fairly treated but should give his running. We will also include Puzzle Time as she fared better than she has for a while when finishing a close-up fourth at Wolverhampton and would have a good chance if able to build on that effort.
18:45- Admirable Art arrives seeking the hat-trick and he makes plenty of appeal from a Placepot perspective. This is tougher than the pair of races Admirable Art has won recently, but he's clearly in a rich vein of form and remains with some untapped potential on artificial surfaces, so he should launch a bold bid.
19:15- Youm Jamil improved on his recent efforts to win over C&D last month, and, though he had the race run to suit, he was visually impressive, tanking through the contest and quickly putting it to bed. He should go close if he's in similar heart. He's never been one to put maximum faith in, however, so it's well worth adding Silent Pursuit to the permutation as he is lightly raced and looks an obvious improver with headgear applied and George Baker in the saddle.
19:45- C&D winner Henry Grace is very much on an upward curve and he should be able to follow up last month's success. Henry Grace had the misfortune of bumping into a couple of well-handicapped rivals before finally gaining a deserved success, and he can continue to progress.
17:45- 1, 3
