Timeform take you through the card at Kempton on Thursday...
"...shaped better than the bare result and is worth chancing again..."
Timeform on Daring Venture
16:40 - JAGANORY (3) took a step back in the right direction when third over course and distance two weeks ago and, although not yet quite back to his best, he can take advantage of a career-low mark to gain a first victory since May.
17:10 - CLASSIC STAR (9) shaped better than the bare result at Leicester on his return from a seven-week break and is capable of going close off this mark on that evidence. Dean Ivory's charge made his move too late last time but kept on well inside the final furlong to finish fourth and can build on that.
17:40 - PRECISION STORM (4) is fancied to follow up last week's course-and-distance victory after looking well at home on an artificial surface in that similar event. He was comfortably on top that day on his first try over a mile, remains open to progress and can defy a 6lb penalty.
18:10 - SECRET ACQUISITION (10) travelled fluently enough to suggest there is more to come from her when runner-up for the second time last month. Those two runs set the form standard here and suggest she is capable of winning an event like this sooner rather than later. Any significant market move for one of the newcomers should be noted.
18:40 - GOOD TIDINGS (9) forged clear impressively at Newcastle last time, despite still looking a bit green, and he can record a hat-trick. John Gosden's colt is unbeaten on the all-weather, is completely unexposed and is open to much more improvement for a top yard.
19:10 - DARING VENTURE (5) went off a bit too hard when fifth on her handicap debut at Newcastle in June, but shaped better than the bare result and is worth chancing again here off a mark that underplays her ability. She looks well treated based on her victory at Chelmsford and makes her return with trainer Roger Varian's team in good form.
19:40 - FALCON CLIFFS (10) was flattered to get within a short-head of the heavily-eased winner at Wolverhampton last time, but she still put in a sound effort to return to form. She races off the same mark today and must be taken seriously from the inside draw.
20:10 - MY TOWN CHICAGO's (4) run at Newcastle last time is best overlooked as he was ridden too aggressively, but he probably remains in form and the return to a turning track may help his chance. Course-and-distance winner The Lacemaker produced a good third here last time and warrants consideration if able to reproduce a similar effort.
