Timeform on Sir Psycho
13:30 - MUSICAL SLAVE (4) proved better than ever to get off the mark over fences on New Year's Day, scoring on heavy ground at Exeter with a bit in hand. That made it four wins from six starts in handicap company and he could yet have more to offer.
14:05 - THE WORLDS END (1) has been in excellent form this season, landing the West Yorkshire Hurdle at Wetherby before running creditably to finish third behind Paisley Park and Thistlecrack in the Long Distance Hurdle. He took advantage of a good opportunity to win the Grade 1 Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot last time, staying on stoutly to strike on heavy ground, and he looks rock-solid.
14:40 - SIR PSYCHO (2) relished the emphasis on stamina when bolting up at Exeter last time, reveling in the testing conditions, and he has the best form on offer. He has plenty in his favour and will take the beating.
15:15 - THE TWO AMIGOS (8) has stamina in abundance and arrives on the back of creditable efforts in the Southern National at Fontwell and Welsh Grand National at Chepstow. He is still relatively unexposed over marathon distances and could have a bit more to offer, so he gets the vote. Yala Enki won this in 2018, is fairly treated and has been in good form since joining Paul Nicholls, so he looks the chief threat.
15:50 -There are a few progressive hurdlers here with more to offer in handicap company, most notably YOUNG BULL (9), who completed the hat-trick with something to spare on Boxing Day, when he won in the style of one who will appreciate this step up to three miles. He scored with more in hand than the winning margin of a length and three-quarters would suggest, and he can defy a 6 lb higher mark. Welsh Saint and Portrush Ted, who are also capable of better, are the main dangers.
16:25 - RAMSES DE TEILLEE (1) was an impressive winner of the Grade 2 River Don Novices' Hurdle at Doncaster last time on his first start after undergoing a wind operation, and he should take plenty of beating. He showed very smart form in valuable staying handicaps over fences last season, most notably when finishing runner-up in the Welsh Grand National, and he will relish this emphasis on stamina.
17:00 - WISHING AND HOPING was unbeaten in three points and made a good impression on his hunter chase debut at Taunton last time, travelling strongly and jumping boldly. He could prove hard to pass.
