The best action this afternoon comes from Goodwood and that is where we head for Friday's attempt at the Placepot...
It's unlikely that we've seen everything that Storm the Stars has to offer, and we'll bank on him going close here...
14:20- Nelspruit made a most promising start to his career when finishing second on debut over six furlongs at Newbury, and the drop to the minimum trip ought to suit based on the powerful way in which he travelled there. He's going to be tough to beat and represents banker material.
14:50- The David Simcock-trained Can't Change It is expected to build on a respectable reappearance fourth and he looks fairly treated based on the pick of his efforts last season. He's still open to a spot of improvement and is the first horse that we'll turn to. We'll also add Bravo Echo as he's able to race from a lower turf mark than the one he's been running off on the all-weather, and he's gone well at this track in the past.
15:25- Zoella looked like a filly with a good future when making a winning debut at Lingfield in February, impressing with a sharp turn of foot, and it would be little surprise were she to take this en route to better things. This is a warm race, though, so we'll also add Royal Silk who got off the mark in impressive fashion at Kempton and might improve further for the step up to this trip.
16:00- Storm The Stars has shown progressive form this season, impressing in a maiden at Leicester and running well to finish runner-up in the Chester Vase, and he looks sure to give a good account. It's unlikely that we've seen everything that Storm the Stars has to offer, and we'll bank on him going close here.
16:35- Endless Time looked a smart prospect when running out an easy winner of a Salisbury handicap on her return last week and she should prove hard to beat under a penalty. The fact eight are set to go to post, meaning there are three places on offer, increases confidence in Godolphin's charge, and we'll bank on Endless Time.
17:10- Zanetto was a smart performer in 2013 but struggled to hit those heights during a light campaign last season. He took a big step back in the right direction when finishing third at Newmarket on return and is a leading contender if able to build on that. We'll also include Slip Sliding Away as he has a fine record here and has the benefit of a good-value 7-lb claimer in the saddle.
14:50- 6, 7
15:25- 1, 4
17:10- 6, 11
