Timeform's Matt Gardner tackles the Placepot at Fontwell on Sunday...
"Themilanhorse is two from three over fences but this is a much more difficult task and we are more interested in Double Chocolate and Bold Perk..."
14:20 - The opening leg is pretty tricky but we're going to take on likely favourite Azure Fly, who makes his hurdling debut here, in favour of three with experience. The trio to make the cut are Breaking Bits, Taradrewe and Somchine; between them it would be disappointing were we to take an early bath.
14:55 - Master Flight has an absence to overcome but, if ready to go on his reappearance, he could take some stopping in this handicap chase. The nine-year-old was narrowly denied on handicap debut when last seen in December and the suspicion is that he remains open to further improvement.
15:30 - Saint Roque disappointed when last seen at Kempton but it is well worth forgiving that effort as he probably found the conditions too testing, and he is certainly worth another chance on better ground now reverting to hurdles. Rum And Butter and Grey Missile are worthy of consideration but, in an effort to keep expenditure down, we're going to bank on Saint Roque.
16:05 - Themilanhorse is two from three over fences but this is a much more difficult task and we are more interested in Double Chocolate and Bold Perk. It's hard to split that pair and we only have two places to aim at, so they will both be included in our permutation.
16:40 - The yard of Fergal O'Brien could hardly be in better form at present and we definitely want his representative, Dark Energy, on side in the penultimate leg. He carries a 7 lb penalty as a result of his win five days ago but he remains feasibly treated on old form and should go close. The money is yet to come for Hired Hand but he is of interest nonetheless, as he wasn't knocked about at Taunton last time and seems certain to do better at some stage.
17:10 - Few hold really solid claims in the final leg but we do have three places to aim at so can afford to bank on the Kevin Tork-trained Upton Mead, who landed four handicaps last year. He produced a performance right up with his best when second at this venue eleven days ago and, if the blinkers work the oracle once more, he is in with an excellent chance of hitting the places.
