14:20- Irish raider Dimity has the best form on offer by some way but she was well below her best last time and the step up to seven furlongs is also a concern. It could be worth taking her on in the hope of a good result. The Henry Candy-trained Mind was too green to do himself justice on debut at Sandown but he is capable of improving with the benefit of that initial experience. Richard Hannon introduces a pair of interesting newcomers and it could be worth adding High Master, seemingly the first string, to the Placepot perm. High Master boasts a useful pedigree and is in top hands so a big run on debut wouldn't be a surprise.
14:50- Endless Light was slammed by Zain Eagle last time but the form was boosted at Doncaster last week and this looks like a good opportunity for Endless Light to get off the mark. We will bank on Jeremy Noseda's charge to see us through the second leg.
15:20- Positives can be taken from all three of Golden Spear's efforts in maidens and he looks capable of better now tackling nurserys. With only two places to go at, though, we will also include Senorita Guest who turned in a rare poor effort last time but had been performing with admirable consistency and could be fairly treated now that the assessor has relented a bit.
15:50- A tight-knit handicap with only two places on offer so we won't risk banking on anything even though Tight Fit makes plenty of appeal. Henry Candy's three-year-old is progressing well and could be up to defying an 11 lb rise in the weights following a wide-margin success at Newmarket last time. For insurance we will also add Kyllachy Rise who was beaten by a potential improver last time but still ran close to his best, sticking to his task well in the closing stages.
16:20- With three places on offer at the time of writing we feel confident in banking on Peak Storm to see us through to the final leg. Peak Storm has plenty to find at the weights but he goes particularly well at this unique venue, winning twice over C&D, and will have no problems with deteriorating conditions. He looks sure to give a good account and should finish in the first three.
16:50- Astra Hall relishes testing conditions and has gone well at Chepstow before so makes plenty of appeal in the concluding leg of the Placepot. True, she does need to bounce back from a poor effort last time, but she had been running well prior to Goodwood and she should be well suited by conditions today. We will bank on Astra Hall finishing placed.
