Tuesday's attempt at the Placepot comes from Chelmsford

There's an interesting meeting at Chelmsford this evening and that's where we head for Tuesday's attempt at the Placepot...

The expensively-purchased and well-bred Baqqa has made an encouraging start to her career and almost certainly has more to offer...

18:10- Emily Davison was a C&D winner in March and ran to a similar level of form when finishing placed the last twice. She should be thereabouts again and looks a good type to include in the Placepot. We will also include Glenbuck Lass as she's relatively lightly raced and ought to be suited by this drop in trip, so it would be no surprise were she to produce an improved performance.

18:40- Kadrizzi showed plenty of promise when finishing fourth on debut at Kempton last month and, with the form of that contest working out well, he's expected to shed the maiden tag this evening. Kadrizzi sets a clear standard on that effort and, with further improvement forthcoming, he looks banker material in the Placepot.

19:10- In contrast to most of these, Excellent George is relatively lightly raced and open to a spot of improvement, so he is the first horse that we will turn to in the Placepot. Excellent George was below his best last time, but he'd previously run well in competitive events at York and Newmarket, and may find this a slightly easier task. Saved My Bacon has won three times here and goes well for Silvestre de Sousa, so there's every reason to expect a bold bid from the foot of the weights.

19:40- Flexible Flyer posted a career-best effort when winning an 11-runner handicap at Haydock earlier this month. Flexible Flyer has been raised 6 lb for that success but is thriving at present, and is a leading player. We'll also include the hat-trick seeking Personal Touch as he's clearly in good heart at present and a 5 lb rise in the weights shouldn't prove too much of an inconvenience as he's been competitive from similar marks in the past.

20:10- C&D winner Giantouch has been contesting some competitive handicaps of late, and, while there are some interesting types in opposition, this looks his best opportunity for some time. Giantouch has been cut some slack by the handicapper and can take advantage of the drop into 0-80 company.

20:40- The expensively-purchased and well-bred Baqqa has made an encouraging start to her career and almost certainly has more to offer. Baqqa was too green to do herself justice on debut, but there were definite signs of promise as she stayed on strongly once the penny finally dropped close home, and she shaped well at Goodwood last time, despite lingering signs of inexperience still being in evidence. Baqqa is in top hands and looks sure to progress.

19:10- 8, 12
19:40- 8, 9
