It's a small-stakes perm to try and land the Placepot at Brighton on Sunday...

"Arabian Beauty, who did well to come from off the pace at Catterick last time and looks capable of going in again here..."

14:00 - We kick off proceedings with a five-furlong sprint handicap and it looks a typically tight affair. Whitecrest has held her form well since scoring at Lingfield in June and is the first to keep on side with Willy Twiston-Davies on board. Storm Lightning is another in good form since landing a C&D handicap in June with the services of rising star Cam Hardie to call on today too.

14:30 - A sole selection will have to suffice in the four-runner maiden over the same trip which follows and Tongue Twista should appreciate the return to turf after just failing to land the odds on her all-weather bow last time.

15:00 - It's another maiden, this time over seven furlongs up next and Nufooth sets the standard on his second at Lingfield a month or so ago, and as a result he's the first to make the cut. Grand Spirit was second over C&D here last time and should progress again to be on the premises come the winning post.

15:30 - Another sole selection will suffice in the ten-furlong handicap which follows in the shape of Arabian Beauty, who did well to come from off the pace at Catterick last time and looks capable of going in again here. She has the potential to be a useful performer and is a confident pick to make the frame at the very least.

16:00 - Lochaslsh's Fofs Las form has been boosted by the runner-up scoring subsequently and the 12-furlong handicap which comes next looks an excellent opportunity for him to notch up another win. To that end he's the only one to be included in the perm.

16:30 - The final leg of today's perm is an apprentice handicap over a mile and the first for home from a C&D contest reoppose. Elle Rebelle, who was third that day, is the first to get the nod with the feeling she can build on that performance if she doesn't blow the start as she did last time. Hawk Moth was the winner that day and looked decent enough when winning to defy the 4 lb rise and run well again.
