Carl Harris is off to Beverley to bask in sunshine and winners....

I will be at Beverley for an afternoon of punting which hopefully will be in bright sunshine. On a gorgeous summers day Beverley has a unique charm that I can highly recommend.

Mark Johnston had a great Royal Ascot and his horses are in great form, which is a big positive as far as Rock of Love (2.15) at Beverley is concerned.

This is a moderate contest, by any standards, that represents an excellent chance for the son of Rock of Gibraltar. The step up in trip to seven furlongs should suit perfectly and the good to firm ground will be ideal. Going French has a higher official rating but Rock of Love should be much better at seven furlongs.

The man in form is Darryl Holland who has notched up 13 winners in the last 14 days, five of them at Musselburgh last week. He has a good book of rides at the East Yorkshire venue this afternoon and though I hope he draws a blank in the first, his mount in the 2.45 looks booked for the winners enclosure.

They All Laughed looks a class above these and should have no problem winning a weak looking claimer and is a very good bet to do so. The best bet of the day however is Summer Dancer (3.15).

He carries a six pounds penalty following a good win at Musselburgh last week and steps up an extra half furlong in trip. This time last year for David Elsworth he was running with credit off a mark of 81 and could have plenty in hand if recapturing that ability.

I hope the winners flow, the drinks certainly will be!

Tuesday's Bets at Beverley:

2.15 Rock of Love, win
2.45 They All Laughed, win
3.15 Summer Dancer, win
