Alan Dudman picks out three horses today to include in a Sportsbook treble that pays out 9/1....
"He clearly enjoys sounder conditions with figures on good ground reading 112 and he ran well at the Ladbrokes Trophy meeting at Newbury in November, with the surface in his favour finishing second."
Hell yeah with Red
We kick off with a shortie on Saturday and the Paul Nicholls-trained Hell Red.
The trainer has said in his column (click here to read) that he should win with drying ground and a flat track playing to his strengths.
He's the best horse in on ratings with 130 and it lacks depth. It was a rush to get him to the Boodles, but the last time he raced on a good ground, he scored at Chepstow by 12L making the running. More of the same please.
Wetlands to win again
14:48 Carlisle - Back Wetlands
Wetlands was part of a winning treble for the column recently and the horse is out again on Saturday at Carlisle.
I'm including him at 4/5 as a smashing long-term prospect, and while he has to concede 6lb to his main rival in the market, I don't think it can stop him.
He won at Newcastle so easily going away, that he is now rated 132. At Gosforth Park he had horses in second and third rated 133 and 123.
Ground to suit another Nicholls' charge
Another Nicholls' runner in the acca today, but at 11/4, we can boost the treble up to nearly 10/1 with Eritage.
He clearly enjoys sounder conditions with figures on good ground reading 112 and he ran well at the Ladbrokes Trophy meeting at Newbury in November, with the surface in his favour finishing second.
That looks better form than today's field with the trainer suggesting the track will suit him today.
