Daily Racing Multiple: Miss M goes well with Brother Mike for Monday 80/1 double

Wolverhampton
My Brother Mike is running at Wolverhampton again on Monday evening

Alan Dudman's two horses pay 49/1 in an each-way double on the Sportsbook on Monday, and is staying faithful to the well handicapped Miss M to go well at a big price at Taunton...

"On his final start of 2021 he scored at Bath and travelled well to indicate he can still pull out some more improvement despite his grand age of eight. That was over 1m4f and the pace was even, so he's quite adaptable."

Stay loyal to Miss M off attractive handicap mark

Back Miss M each-way @ 9/1 in the 16:05 at Taunton

We're utilising the Extra Place Special in the finale at Taunton, and with 17 runners, we can use the five places to hopefully see a return to form for David Pipe's Miss M. A mare I have backed a couple of times (without success may I add).

She won twice as a novice at Southwell in the summer of 2020, and both were easy victories, but then went off the boil and struggled to get to grips with her handicap mark of 117.

Her run at Fontwell last spring was perhaps a better indication that there is still some ability there to win a race of today's nature as she finished 11L over 2m3f but stopped pretty quickly to indicate she didn't stay. Her best form has been at the minimum on good ground.

A recent fifth at Uttoxeter was an improvement on recent efforts - ending 11L behind the winner, and she was well in touch with the way she was travelling turning for home, but once again, her stamina deserted her as she didn't see out the 2m4f.

That was her first effort on soft and she seemed to handle it well, so dropping back in distance with a new combination of headgear and a mark that gives her a big chance on old form sways me with the 9/1.

Jockey Phillip Armson claims 7lb too.

Pick the best brother for Wolves win

Back My Brother Mike @ 4/1 in the 17:30 at Wolverhampton

John Stimpson's My Brother Mike needs to pull out a personal best in the 17:30, but a return to Wolverhampton at a trip he goes well at is a plus to keep him onside at 4/1.

He holds a couple of wins on his dance card at Dunstall Park; and the latest was a comfortable win over course and distance last September. He beat Trevolli by nearly 3L coming from off the pace, and Trevolli has subsequently won three times since and produced a victory off 76 at Lingfield at the weekend. With Dreamseller in third, it looks a solid bit of form.

On his final start of 2021 he scored at Bath and travelled well to indicate he can still pull out some more improvement despite his grand age of eight. That was over 1m4f and the pace was even, so he's quite adaptable.

Rival Fennaan is clearly well handicapped from 62 and Universal Effect has won his last two, but the selection is a proven 0-70 performer and can add to his tally.
