Daily Racing Multiple: Back a 19/1 double for Bangor and Catterick and Arsenal to see off Leeds

Alan is relying on Brian Hughes at Bangor today, and he rides Could Be Trouble

One easy winner yesterday for Alan, but Sovereign Moon disappointed in the final race. We have a 19/1 double lined up for Tuesday and an Arsenal win in the 11/2 sports wager...

"His draw in 11 could turn out to be a good one, as we've seen at Catterick this season plenty tacking over to the stands' side and he does stay an easy 7f."

Trouble in store in mares' affair

Back Could Be Trouble @ 3/1 in the 16:30 at Bangor

The Player Queen certainly did play the field in Scotland yesterday with a fine performance; not getting caught out in that weak affair, and not a bad BSP at 1.804/5 for the column considering she ate her rivals for breakfast to win by 7L. Unfortunately a non-runner and Sovereign Moon's run let us down. I'm sure Moon will have her day, but Rose Dobbin certainly has a nice prospect and the letter is in the post to say thank you.

A decent line-up for the mares' race at 16:30, with plenty of form horses such as Getaweapon, Dazzling Glory and Saturn 'n Silk, but Could Be Trouble is on a roll for Don McCain and can win at the trainer's local track.

She landed a weak race in Ireland by 15L last spring for Barry Fitzgerald and has proved a good switcher to McCain winning both of her starts in the UK.

Those came in May at Uttoxeter and Ayr, showing improved form at the former under a hefty penalty from the front in a dominant performance. There wasn't a lot to pick fault with bar an error two from home and I expect her to make the running again. Her win at Uttox' was in a steady time, but she had them all playing to her tune.

The ground won't be an issue as she's won on good and heavy and the stable continued their fine early season form yesterday with both runners winning at Ayr.

Rain can cap off good afternoon at Catterick and take care of 'the Sniper'

Back Rain Cap @ 4/1 in the 16:55 at Catterick

The dying embers of the Flat season at Catterick can hopefully see us make a profit. It was a close call with the second bet as Letthetruthbeknown nearly made the list for the closing bumper at Chepstow.

But it's Yorkshire for us, and Rain Cap off top weight has a bit going for him over 6f.

His draw in 11 could turn out to be a good one, as we've seen at Catterick this season plenty tacking over to the stands' side and he does stay an easy 7f.

That trip at Newcastle last time saw him get caught late on but he travelled well and has been in reasonable form this term with wins at Catterick and Musselburgh.

Deevious Beau was smooth traveller in the past at Southwell, but we haven't seen him much this season and he's been weak in the betting this morning, while Luke Morris' mount Desert Dreamer looks the nearest market rival for 'the Sniper', but he's not exactly a prolific winner.

Daily Multi-Sports Double

Leg 1: Back Salamanca School - 15:55 Bangor @ 7/5

Dave Ord says: "He looked a complete natural over fences when bolting up at Plumpton on his return and a 7lb penalty shouldn't prevent Salamanca School from following up in the Swansway & Smartplanner Sponsor Oliver Greenall Racing Handicap Chase. Warren Greatrex's charge had appeared to be only modest over timber but was a different proposition faced with the larger obstacles."

Leg 2: Back Arsenal HT/Arsenal FT v Leeds(KO: 19:45) @ 6/4

Dan Fitch says: "Arsenal are obviously stronger opposition and Bielsa may take this game more seriously. Yet for Leeds, a cup run is perhaps not quite as appealing as it will be for Arsenal, at a time when they are currently near the relegation zone. Arsenal are 2.7 to win half-time/full-time, having been ahead at the break in each of their last two games."
