Daily Racing Multiple: A day made for Rose to bloom for an Ayr 10/1 double

Alan has a twin pair of Rose Dobbin runners in Scotland today

Alan Dudman heads to Scotland for the start of the week and has his eye on two Rose Dobbin runners in a 10/1 Sportsbook multiple...

"Good ground, or drying ground shouldn't be a problem as he was most impressive at Wetherby as a novice hurdler last term and travelled very well on that sort of surface."

Rae can get the Dobbin double off to a good start

Back Rae Des Champs @ 7/4 in the 12:30 at Ayr

Trainer Rose Dobbin has a very nice bunch of novices this term, and Captain Quint showed last week the yard can ready one first time out. His victory was at Hexham, and he was clearly schooled sharply as his jumping was decent.

Dobbin introduces another newcomer in the shape of Rae Des Champs in the Ayr opener, and it's nice to see a few runners after the debacle at Newcastle last week with just two mares rated 89 66 - running for decent prize money it has to be said.

The selection beat Motown Maggie in a point by 10L and was subsequently sold for 90,000. Since then, Motown Maggie has also changed hands and won a nice maiden at Fairyhouse and looked a stayer on that evidence.

It's not a bad race considering Don McCain and Nicky Richards also have debutants, and I was hoping the presence of those two would make a price on Rae Des Champs. A few must have agreed with me as she has been backed from 5/2 on Sunday when initially priced up, to 7/4. But it still makes a 10/1 double on the Sportsbook.

She certainly has a pedigree to do well at this game as she is related to the high-class Back In Front - who beat Inglis Drever in the Bula.

Fete can make up for disappearing act at Hexham

Back Fete Champetre 3/1 in the 14:10 at Ayr

We're playing up on a Dobbin double today, a trainer I rate.

Fete Champetre really should have been a winner for us two weeks ago at Hexham. Had it not been for him running head-first into the hedge with Craig Nichol on, I am fairly sure he would have won that. Thankfully both horse and jockey were (and are) okay, but it was one of the most bizarre incidents I have seen in a race when a horse completely disappears.

Someone the forum asked if they had been abducted by aliens?

He's back, which is good news, and he can certainly make amends on Monday, as he looked a stayer at Hexham. His jumping was good until that unfortunate incident, and he's rather cruelly been raised 1lb after his escapades. However, he still looks well treated from 119.

Good ground, or drying ground shouldn't be a problem as he was most impressive at Wetherby as a novice hurdler last term and travelled very well on that sort of surface.

Royal Arcade of Nicky Richards looks a good chasing prospect too and goes over fences for the first time.
