Alan Dudman looks to Friday's action with the Daily Racing Multiple and has picked out a 32/1 double bet for the afternoon...
"As a previous winner of The Melling, he has no Min to contend with this year and he has a great record fresh off a break."
Nicholls' dashing grey can do it again
It seems a while since we have seen Politologue in action, but his trainer Paul Nicholls is confident he has him in great shape after missing Cheltenham due to a bloody nose. In fact, in his column, he says he is A1 and never looked better.
He was beaten at Ascot in Jan but produced a fine round of jumping around Sandown to win the Betfair Tingle Creek - which seems an awfully long time ago now.
As a previous winner of The Melling, he has no Min to contend with this year and he has a great record fresh off a break.
Gally can improve for new trip
I supported Gallyhill back in February at Ascot when he was beaten by Midnight River, but I am happy giving Nicky Henderson's novice another chance in the Sefton as I believe the step up to 3m could suit the horse with the way he shaped last time.
He still looked inexperienced and also the ground was extremely testing that day. Better going and a new trip are plusses today.
Taking out Bravemansgame of Paul Nicholls, it looks wide open, and Gallyhill is a big price at 8/1 to boost our multiple.
